DESCRIPTION: Calendula is an herb from the Asteracea botanical family (part of the same family as the sunflower) with orange-yellow daisy-like flowers heads. It is the flower heads and petals that are used in herbal remedies and infusions
Calendula is a native Herb of Egypt and Southern Europe.
Calendula infused (or macerated) oil is made from the fresh or dried flower heads which are infused in organic, cold pressed sunflower oil.
Known for its skincare properties, calendula is regenerative and anti-inflamatory. Good for treating damaged and chapped skin. It is considered to be an excellent remedy for all kinds of skin damage, such as wounds, scars, burns, scalds, abrasions, infections, various inflammations and other injuries. The powerful action of Calendula oil lies in improving the blood flow to the inflicted area and in further tissue regeneration.
