DESCRIPTION: Arnica is an herb from the Asteracea botanical family (part of the same family as the sunflower) with orange-yellow daisy-like flowers heads. The plant is found in the central and northern regions of the Northern Hemisphere, it is native in the mountains of Europe and Siberia and cultivated in North America.
Arnica infused (or macerated) oil is made from the fresh or dried flower heads which are infused in organic, cold pressed, olive oil.
The dried flower heads have long been used as an astringent and to treat skin disorders. It aids in new tissue growth and with antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and soothing effects, Arnica is especially good for bruising, under eye circles, chapped lips or irritated nostrils
